The dotcom boom is not only going great in USA but Australia has also had its dot com boom in recent months, with many home grown successful floats happening the last couple of years , with some of them having real potential to stay and scale in competition to US tech stocks.
We look at some of the “tech stocks in Australia”, mainly recently listed Freelancer , XERO , Seek and Carsales.com.
Freelancer after listing has rocketed almost 600 percent above its offer price. In early trade, shares in freelancer were issued at 0.50c and hit a high of $2.60 before closing at $1.60. Freelancer is a online portal where you can mainly get many website related and online related jobs like Web design ,Online Business promotion, content writing for websites etc , they are providers as well as buyers of these services who do this for a reasonable fee. This stock could have a correction and punters will need to see at what price this stock settles down.
XERO LIMITED (XRO)
The Company is a provider of online accounting software for small businesses.
Among other tech stocks Xero slipped 2 cents over the weekend to $31.99
CARSALES.COM LIMITED (CRZ)
Online automotive advertising.
Carsales.com lost 0.10c to %10.10
SEEK LIMITED (SEK)
Operator of online employment classifieds and education and training.
Seek rose 0.02 cent to $12.50
